Katarina was a ball girl at the Wimbledon Championships 2022. She was thrilled to be selected for truly a once in a life time experience!
She was captain on one of the show court teams and had the honour of participating in the Ladies’ Final. The ball girls and boys trained once a week for a year ahead of the Championships. This is how these teams are so skilled, disciplined and polished. Katarina attends Putney High School and continues to enjoy her favourite sport tennis but also participates keenly in athletics and cross-country. Katarina has represented the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in three London Mini Marathons.
At school she enjoys in particular Mandarin, Math, History and Classics. Hot off the press: Katerina has been selected to be one of 24 ball kids at the Laver Cup at the O2 Arena in London in September 2022. The Laver Cup is a men’s tennis tournament played on hard courts between a team from Europe vs a team consisting of players from the rest of the world. The 2022 competition will be particularly significant because it marked the last competitive appearance of Roger Federer, one of the greatest in the sport of tennis. He happens to be Katerina’s idol.
