EYFS Teaching Assistant (full-time) September 2024

We are currently welcoming applications from EYFS teaching assistants who have a willingness to contribute fully to life at Garden House School.  Ideally, candidates should be graduates with a desire to become a teacher in the future or professionals with a relevant level 3 qualification.

Applicants should be enthusiastic and confident and able to support and inspire children to foster their eagerness for learning.  They will also have the skills and maturity required to take on the teaching assistant duties and responsibilities outlined in the job description.  

KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistants (full-time) September 2024

Head of Boys School

The Proprietors of Garden House welcome applications from candidates for the key leadership role of Head of Boys.

Garden House was established in 1950 and is now one of London’s leading prep schools. Educating boys and girls to the age of 11, the School remains family owned and attracts pupils from across London, offering a broad education with a commitment to excellent teaching, the Arts and co-curricular activities. Boys leave Garden House for a wide range of leading schools.

The current Head of Boys has been at the School since 2020 and will leave in 2025 to take up a new leadership role and thereby a vacancy for his successor arises. Peripatetic Singing Teacher (Self Employed) Part Time - September 2024

We are currently welcoming applications from self-employed peripatetic singing teachers.

Applicants should be enthusiastic and confident and able to support and inspire children to foster their eagerness for learning singing. This is a part-time position to deliver singing lessons to pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 across the school and is available on a Wednesday during term time from September 2024. Candidates who are unable to commit to a Wednesday should not apply for this position.

Successful candidates will join a highly supportive and friendly working community of 13 peripatetic music staff co-ordinated by our Head of Music.

Please note the interview date is Friday, 10th May following the closing date of Wednesday, 8th May.

Specialist English Teacher (Upper KS2) Full Time - September 2024

As a key player in our dynamic Upper KS2 team, you will be an inspiring, forward-thinking and committed professional who is strongly motivated to play an active part in the life of the school. As part of our focus on raising standards and embedding excellence we are excited to be looking to appoint an outstanding upper KS2 English specialist. Experience of teaching English in Years 6, 7 and 8 would be an asset. Our boys and girls gain places and scholarships at some of the most prestigious day and boarding schools in the country and, as such, experience of preparing pupils for 11+ examinations is essential and 13+ desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on an ambitious role aimed at making a real impact on the outcomes for our pupils.
