Organising events and fun for the children

learn more

The Parents' Association is responsible for holding many School functions.

The Gala Night held at the Cadogan Hall involves every child aged 6 performing alongside professional musicians. The production involves the Music, Art, Drama and English departments at the School with children playing a significant role in the writing and creating.

PARENTS’ CONTRIBUTING TO ALL ELEMENTS OF SCHOOL LIFE

Members of the Parents' Association decorate the School at Christmas, organise seasonal events such as Halloween workshops, Easter activities and parental workshops to promote understanding of events in other faiths, such as Hannukkah or traditions in other cultures.
Parents help design and make costumes for all the School plays and in so many ways contribute to and enhance our children's time at Garden House School. Other regular PA events include Cake Day once a term and book related events such as running an in-house book store to coincide with Book Week and activities and events around World Book Day.
The Parents’ Association organises a fund-raising Christmas Carol Service, arranges for visits from authors and artists and works with the School to lay on exhibitions displaying the children’s art work.

THE GLAMOUR AND GLITZ OF THE ANNUAL PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION QUIZ NIGHT

The Quiz night is held at the Royal Hospital and is the main fundraiser of the year. There is a quiz and an auction element to the evening. The most hotly contested lots are the themed artwork created by individual classes.

The SUMMER FAIR IS ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TERM

The Summer Fair held in Burton Court, provides an afternoon of fun for every child ranging from pony rides and an animal petting zoo, to climbing walls and bungee trampolines, arts and crafts, face painting and bouncy castles. Both these events benefit the PA's selected charity.
